Old Business:  None

New Business:
1.  Regional Competition:    Kent led the discussion on planning of the regionals:  Highlights are as follows:  * Kent and Duane Sinclare will keep score using GPS and Virtual GPS separately (Non - GPS Honor System).  The virtual part is an attempt to accommodate the non-Instrumental GPS crowd someway.  Details still need to be worked out.    The advantage to GPS is that less people will be needed to run the meet and have wider launch windows. * Friday will be a practice day with flying and GPS scoring for those not used to flying with it.  Competition will be Sat & Sunday.    There will also be a separate duration trophy.  * Duane is in charge of trophies.  Ken Tolin and wife will be in charge of the barbacue.  Len Smith is the Safety Officer.  Larry Lewis is in charge of Advertising.  We still need a treasurer and local donations and still need general volunteers.    We also need a good supply of Ice for everyone.

2.  John Russell ( a.k.a.… Lead Sled) discussed his parachute handle failure at the parachute clinic.  The pin holders tore off the handles and rendered him unable to pull the chute out for > 20 seconds.  This is a High Energy bag / setup that Betty replaced free of charge.    John wanted to tell everyone to check theirs and maybe backup the small webbing with some weak link line.

3.  More awards were handed out :  Kent got the Above and  Beyond Award and Tre got the "Kings Who Say Ni" award.

4.  Trips:    Several going to Buffalo Mtn., over Easter.    Ken is asking anyone interested in a Telluride Trip this summer contact him.    John and Kelly report > 1000 foot scooter tows at Caddo Mills airport last weekend.  Tre got a NEW  WW XC142 and reports that the smile is now permanent.

5.  Meeting adjourned at 8:20 PM.

6.  Next meeting  May 11, 2000 at Southwest Airlines Headquarters.
